"Design the life you want"

"THE WISE MAN LOOKS AHEAD" (PROVERBS 14:8)

Design the life you want and your world will change! Here are three principles that will help you do it.

(1)     Understand that God wants you to succeed. Give up the mistaken idea that           this earthly life has no value. God delights in our success, what parent           wouldn't? "What is success anyway?" you ask. It's the progressive           achievement of a God-given goal, resulting in feeling good about your life.           Listen: "Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may           prosper in everything you do" (Deuteronomy 29:9, NIV)

(2)     Consult God, then set definite goals. Solomon says, "We should make plans,           counting on God to direct us" (Proverbs 16:9). If you're constantly caving in           to stress and confusion, you may be on the wrong track. Go back and check           with God! It's His will for  you to to succeed in these six areas: (1) spiritual;           (2) family; (3) physical; (4) mental; (5) social; (6) financial.

(3)     Invest in yourself. Listen: "Though it cost all you have get understanding"           (Proverbs 4:7) If you're willing to spend money in a fine restaurant but not           on good books, your future's already determined. And the first book you need           to invest in is a Bible. John writes: "And the Word was God" (John 1:1). Each           time you deposit God's Word within you, you're depositing more of God.           Think how that affects every area of your life! Cultivate a teachable spirit.           Listen: "Let the wise listen and add to their learning" (Proverbs 1:5) Go           ahead: design the life you want. Why? Because only you can!

Chosen to bear fruits

" I HAVE... ORDAINED YOU, THAT YE SHOULD.... BRING FORTH FRUIT"

                                                        (JOHN 15:16)

The word "ordained" comes from the word 'ordered'. God says, "I have ordered [designed] you to 'bring forth fruit.'" It's why He set you apart from others and chose your direction.

He carried you when you thought  you'd lost the battle. He pushed you when you ran out of steam because, "The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord. He delights in every detail of their lives" (Psalm 37:23) Because He wants you to be fruitful, "No weapon turned against you will succeed... These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17). Are you serving God to the best of your ability? Then the attack that's coming against you will not succeed. God guaran-tees it! Now being chosen doesn't mean you can "keep on sinning so that God can show... forgiveness" (Romans 6:1). But it does mean you have assurance about your position in Him. It's also why He permits struggles, tests and temptations. He knows what it takes to get your attention, keep you dependent on Him and help you develop a stronger root system.

The first thing God said to man was, "Be fruitful" (Genesis 1:28) God wants you to be successful in your relationships, your family, your business and every aspect of your life. Luke 12:32 says, "It is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (to demonstrate the advantages of kingdom living through you). When that concept gets down into your heart, it'll change your life!
